Wollondilly mayor to host Hollywood-themed charity event

It's time to dust off your dress shoes and finest gown - Wollondilly mayor Robert Khan will host a Hollywood-themed dinner theatre show later this month.

The charity event will be held at Camden Valley Inn* on Saturday, July 31 to raise money for the expansion of the We Are Men campaign.

Mental health has become a critical issue in the Wollondilly shire following a challenging 18 months which included bushfires, floods and Covid-19.

We Are Men is a community of men from south western Sydney who meet regularly to talk about their struggles in a bid to tackle the stigma surrounding men's mental health.

Wollondilly mayor Khan said men were opening up and discussing their mental health through video stories, podcasts, an app and highlighting of local services as a part of the We Are Men campaign.

"I will be hosting a dinner theatre show...to raise money to expand the We Are Men initiative further into Wollondilly," he said.

"My target is to raise $10,000 and I would appreciate your support to raise the funds to go towards this extremely valuable cause."

Tickets are $120 per person or tables of 10 for $1100.

The ticket price includes a dinner and drinks package and a show

There will be raffles, auctions and prizes on the night as well as speakers from the We are Men campaign.

Tickets are available at trybooking.com/BSNAU and more information is available at: wollondilly.nsw.gov.au.

*This event will be dependent on Covid-19 restrictions. Tickets will be fully refundable (less handling fee) if the event is impacted.
