Police appeal for dashcam footage after public place shooting in Macquarie Fields

Police are investigating after receiving reports a man was shot in the hand outside a Macquarie Fields house at the weekend.

Emergency services were called to a home on Snow Gum Street shortly before 4.15pm on Sunday, September 26, after shots were allegedly fired.

Police were told three men arrived at the front of the home before allegedly becoming involved in an argument and physical altercation with two men, aged 27 and 30 who lived at the home.

Police report the younger men sustained a gunshot wound to his right hand, and the three men allegedly fled the scene in a vehicle.

NSW Ambulance treated the injured man at the scene before he was taken to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition, police report.

Officers from Campbelltown Police Area Command, with assistance from the Public Order and Riot Squad, South West Metropolitan Region Operations Support Group, the Dog Unit and PolAir, conducted an extensive search of the area to try and find the trio, however they were unable to be located.

Police say a crime scene was established and examined by specialist forensic officers.

As investigations continue, police have asked for anyone with information or dashcam footage from the area around the time of the alleged incident to come forward.
