WOLLONDILLY VOTES: Election results as they happen

Shire residents headed to the polls today to elect their nine new council representatives.

Four councillors will be selected in the North Ward, and four will be selected in the South Ward.

Voters will also elect a mayor.

Polling booths closed at 6pm, and the NSW Electoral Commission staff will tally the votes tonight.

Any votes which have not been counted - including postal and pre-poll votes - will be picked up on Monday.

There is not expected to be a final result tonight.

Robert Khan: 11.55 per cent

Michael Banasik: 11.45 per cent

Matthew Deeth: 16.81 per cent

Ray Law: 17.11 per cent

Matt Gould: 22.59 per cent

Judy Hannan: 20.49 per cent

NORTH WARD

Group A (led by Beverley Spearpoint): 9.55 per cent

Group B (led by Karl Klein): 5.92 per cent

Group C (Matt Gould): 48.18 per cent

Group D (Teonie Mitchell): 4.49 per cent

Group E (Shaun Grimston): 7.17 per cent

Group F (Judy Hannan): 24.2 per cent

Ungrouped: 0.48 per cent

EAST WARD

Group A (led by Paul Rogers): 27.15 per cent

Group B (led by Suzy Brandstater): 13.42 per cent

Group C (led by Matthew Deeth): 21.48 per cent

Group D (led by David Clayton): 6.38 per cent

Group E (led by Michael Banasik): 15.71 per cent

Group F (led by Craig Sheahan): 5.01 per cent

Group G (led by Robert Khan): 10.86 per cent
