Tigers spread Christmas cheer at local hospitals

The Wests Tigers Christmas Toy Drive delivered presents - and lots of smiles - to children in the pediatric wards at Campbelltown and Liverpool hospitals on Tuesday.

Players from the NRL and Women's Premiership squads alongside Wests Tigers Foundation Ambassador Pat Richards handed out toys donated from Wahu to kids for the sixth straight year.

Richards, James Tamou, Sophie Curtain and Sarah Boyle handed out gifts at Campbelltown Hospital, while Tommy Talau, Botille Vette-Welsh and Tyler Pelligra did the same at Liverpool Hospital.

"This event is so important to us - to be able to put some smiles on kids' faces," Wests Tigers captain James Tamou said.

"We had a couple hundred presents to give out, thanks to Wahu."

Allied Health Director Loretta Andersen said: "Christmas is a special time for us at the hospital and the opportunity to meet some of the players brought great excitement and joy to many people."
