Another burst of unseasonable warm weather is building over NSW and will nudge temperatures towards 10 degrees above normal by the middle of next week.
Sydney and Newcastle could enjoy temperatures of up to 28 degrees on Wednesday. Coffs Harbour could reach 30 degrees, while it’ll be slightly cooler in Dubbo at a balmy 27 degrees. But those living in Wagga are best not booking a day off as it is likely to be showery and be a high of 17 degrees.
But while the temperature will be warmer than we’re used to this time of year it’s nowhere near the record for August at 37.8 degrees at the border of NSW and Queensland in Mungindi in 2009.
